Quick! Guests are arriving in an hour and you’re missing something on the table – but what?! Place cards! With some card stock, paint, and a little imagination you can give a personalized touch to complete any table. These DIY Place Cards complete a full series of DIY ideas we call Company’s Coming.
SUPPLIES
- Card Stock or Craft Paper
- Paint Brush
- Fusion Metallic Paint in Vintage Gold
- Felt Pen
HOW TO PAINT PLACE CARDS
STEP 1
Cut your card stock into 6″ x 4″ strips. You’ll fold each strip in half at the 3″ mark to create tented cards that are 3″ x 4″.
STEP 2
Using your favourite shade of Fusion Mineral Paint, or a signature Metallic like Vintage Gold, brush the outside of your cards (and even the inside if you want).
STEP 3
Once they’re dry – which shouldn’t take too long on such small cards – write the name of each guest and voila! A customized place setting!
OTHER USES FOR PLACE CARDS
Want a more casual dining situation? Use your painted place cards to indicate dishes on a buffet, or as part of a dessert bar. You could even use them as customized gift tags come gifting season (we also have other ideas for that too!)
