First, here’s what you’re going to need for this project:
- Fusion TSP Alternative
- 200 Grit Sandpaper
- Mojito Milk Paint by Fusion
- Fusion Ultra Grip
- Staalmeester Wide Flat Brush
- Staalmeester Pointed Sash Brush
- Staalmeester 2″ Flat Brush
- Fusion Clear Furniture Wax
- Fusion Hemp Oil
Step 1: PREP
Wash sideboard with Fusion TSP Alternative.
Scuff-sand all over.
Sand down all wood handles down to the raw wood.
After sanding, ensure to wipe down the pieces with a rag and water to remove the excess dust.
Step 2: PAINT
Mix equal parts Fusion Milk Paint Mojito and water with a whisk, adjust powder if necessary. Add Fusion Ultra-Grip.

Apply 2-3 coats of paint using a combination of brushes. The Staalmeester Spalter brush was used for large surfaces like the top, the Staalmeester Pointed Sash brush was used for the inside crevice of the moulding and the Fusion 2” flat brush for the remainder, like the drawer fronts.
Step 3: FINISH
Apply 2 coats of Fusion Furniture Clear Wax to seal and protect.
A very light coat of Fusion Hemp Oil was applied to the raw wood handles.
