There are many ways to use Crackle Texture medium to add character and depth to your projects. For example, try using it around keyholes or escutcheons to create an aged look that suggests years of use. You can also apply Crackle Texture medium in the corners of recesses or along edges to emulate layers of old worn paint. Experiment with different colours and techniques to achieve the perfect vintage look for your project. Another great suggestion is to use our coloured waxes to enhance the cracks and create instant age.
Another way to create Crackle!
There is another way to create a crackle or a crazed look. Milk Paint mixed slightly thicker and forced dried with a hairdryer or heat gun will produce beautiful crazed cracking. You can then accentuate. it with a glaze or wax, or even a paint wash to draw attention to the aged, weathered effect.
