STAIN BLOCKING

ZINSSER BIN SHELLAC BASED PRIMER

Zinsser Bin shellac based primer is the stain blocker we recommend. The shellac base seals wood knot resin, stains, water marks and permanent ink from bleeding through your paint finish. It also blocks odours including fire odours, animal and nicotine stains and odours.

This product is not water base and will require clean up with denatured alcohol, so not recommended for your best brushes. It comes in 2 forms, in a can you can paint, roll, or spray and in an aerosol spray can. Both of these work great for blocking stains and if you are only doing one project the spray can should be enough. (Depending on size) Zinsser Bin can be found in your local hardware store.
