We love seeing what happens when talented furniture painters pick up a brush, and with Alchemy by Fusion, the results are nothing short of magic.
Artists across our community are doing incredible things. Whether you´ve carried Alchemy for a while now or are just starting, these creations are your invitation to lean into what makes this line special.

What Makes Alchemy by Fusion Different?
Alchemy is a next-generation chalk-style paint; it’s not just chalk. It’s our unique blend of acrylic, limestone and chalk, combining rich, blendable texture with serious durability.
You get the flat, chalky finish painters love, but with more flexibility: you can leave it matte or seal it with wax, glaze, or any topcoat depending on the project. Adding a top coat is not a must for this chalk-styled paint!

Alchemy in Action: Artist Spotlight
Every artist approaches furniture differently, and that’s exactly where Alchemy shines.
Jonathan Marc Mendes is one of the most renowned furniture painters in the world, celebrated for his refined sense of colour and a style bridging fine art and furniture.
For this side table, Jonathon deliberately chose a clean, refined finish in Alabaster. By keeping the colour soft and understated, he allowed the piece to become the perfect backdrop for his styling, letting textures, objects, and details truly stand out. The result is a timeless, elegant aesthetic which he´s renowned for.

For the piece featured below, Jonathon decided to strip it back, only to discover beautiful oak underneath! He couldn’t resist keeping some of that gorgeous grain visible, so he opted for a soft lime-washed finish. To create the perfect neutral wash, he mixed Willow and Birch, and complemented it with Sienna on the inside and the legs. Check out the video here.

Chloe Kempster hand-draws and hand-paints all her floral work, which means every bloom you see is uniquely hers.
For this piece, she blended Juniper with soft neutrals to create a finish that feels both organic and beautifully layered. Check out the video here.

Chloe was thrilled with the result and shared her experience with us: “Honest review? I loved Juniper a lot. Alchemy is very hardwearing on this piece, even without a top coat or primer. And it was perfectly matt, if that’s the look you’re going for.”
Chloe doesn’t use Alchemy purely for hand painting or blending. For the piece featured below, she relied on it as a strong backbone for the design. She used Alchemy’s Alabaster for the frame and combined it with wallpaper on the drawers, creating a beautiful contrast between colour and pattern.

Titti Gritti
A different creative process emerges in the work of this Italian artist, who approached her piece with a highly intuitive mindset. Working with Onyx, she allowed the design to develop naturally, letting the character of the furniture guide her decisions. This project highlights how Alchemy supports artists who work instinctively: its depth of colour, smooth application, and flexibility make it an ideal medium for creative exploration. Alchemy by Fusion, Beyond Furniture
Alchemy isn’t just for furniture transformations. Its rich texture, blendability, and durability make it an excellent choice for smaller creative projects as well. Its ease of use makes it especially appealing for projects where you want impactful results with minimal materials.
A beautiful example comes from @JBowenandCompany, who transformed a simple file box into a charming piece using Alchemy’s punchy green shade Moss.
We also love showcasing this stunning toolbox painted in Alchemy’s vibrant Willow by Paint Me Vintage from New Zealand. From across the world, this project perfectly illustrates how Alchemy brings energy, depth, and individuality to everyday objects.

In another part of the world, in the UK, customers were learning how to blend with Alchemy. They were absolutely delighted with the results. From first experiments to refined finishes, Alchemy proves how intuitive and rewarding it is to work with.
