This Easter, Jennylyn Pringle wanted to bring some homemade touches to her Easter table – pastel meets farmhouse meets DIYs! Jennylyn does not disappoint when she uses her creative abilities to make a new beautiful Fusion Mineral Paint project to display on her pastel farmhouse Easter table. DIY metallic chargers, pastel mason jars, a stencilled plaid table runner and speckled Easter eggs.
From beginning to end, Jennylyn transformed her rustic salvaged wood dining table into a beautiful pastel-infused Easter table.
Quick DIYs give this tablescape some beautiful finishing touches that we just know you will love and want to try to make yourself. This is a 4 part series where we will share how you can recreate each of these projects yourself.
This blog post will hopefully inspire you to use Fusion Mineral Paint for something new, it is an incredibly versatile paint that works well on so many different surfaces.
We just can’t get enough of how the bright pastels contrast against the beautiful grain of the farmhouse salvaged table – the perfect mixture of rustic meets springtime!
In this blog post, we are going to teach you how to make the speckled eggs featured in Jennylyn’s Easter table decor. She made these super quick for her tablescape.
Supplies you will need for Jennylyn’s Speckled Eggs
- Wooden eggs
- Pastel Fusion colours such as Little Whale, Little Teapot, Peony or Prairie Sunset and 1 darker colour such as Ash
- Paintbrush
This is such a simple tutorial, we don’t even need to number it for ya! Using pastel colours of your choice, paint straight onto the wooden eggs. No prep is needed and Jennylyn found 1 coat sufficient.
Using a paintbrush, Jennylyn wanted to create a speckled look with a darker colour (in this case, Ash). Jennylyn applied a small amount to her brush, then took her fingers and flicked the paint onto the eggs. This created a very natural speckled egg finish.
This fun tutorial was quick and takes very little paint. A great project for when you have small amounts of paint left in your Fusion containers!
Stay tuned and come back to find how to create the DIY metallic plate chargers, pastel jars and painted runners. Each will be featured with a tutorial on how to create your own at home. What we love about these tutorials is that you can switch up the colour choices for different seasons.
