Prepping a table for paint
This very old oak table needed a real good cleaning. We wiped it down with TSP Alternative diluted in water. We repeated and changed the water several times to make sure any grease residue was removed entirely. Since most of the original finish was already removed, it did not need any sanding.
Chestler, a New Fusion Mineral Paint Colour
Chestler is a show-stopping complicated blue-green that is boasting with depth and intention. This shade will make you stop and dive into its abyss of colour. Pair with Park Bench for a regal look or Limestone for a classic feel.
Painting The Chess Table
We painted the table with Chestler from the new colour collection. One full coat more or less covered the table with just a few touch-ups. Since this table was being used as a chess table, we opted not to add a finish. Alternatively, for a more durable finish, you can top coat it with Fusion Stain & Finishing Oil. We recommend using the SFO for top coating our darker colours such as Chestler.
