Charlotte from Not too Shabby Charlotte in the UK has used Cobblestone and a few other new colours for this Fusion Resin Pour Sideboard. Do you want a fun and easy way to create a one of a kind piece of furniture to wow your friends? Then follow along as we show you how!
Can You Paint Glossy Surfaces With Fusion? Yes!
This sideboard was super glossy, it was given a good clean and a coat of Ultra Grip was applied making the unpaintable, paintable!
Painting The Frame
The door was removed and put to one side. On the frame, we used 2 coats of Cobblestone. These gorgeous legs and beading were highlighted with Fusion Metallic Paint in Bronze, little details like this can be a great way to accent interesting shapes and features on a piece of furniture. Our design continues when you open the doors, with Paisley, Bellwood and Rose Water inside the cabinet for a pop of colour. These new colours are just so beautiful how can you resist?
Paint Pour Time!
Wrap the back of the doors and tape off the edges so only the front panels are left exposed. This protects the rest of the door from drips.
It’s super easy to colour your Fusion Pouring Resin, you just add the smallest amount of paint and stir until you get a nice opaque coloured resin.
For this piece mix up the following Resin –
- 2 cups tinted with Cobblestone
- 1 plastic shot cup tinted with Bellwood
- 1 plastic shot cup tinted with Paisley
- 1 plastic shot cup tinted with Rosewater
- 1 plastic shot cup tinted with Bronze mixed with a few drops of Cell Enhancer, so that beautiful cells would appear

A hairdryer on a cool setting to get the paint pour design across the front of the doors. You can watch the step-by-step video here.
Painting The Hardware
The shape of the original hardware was so pretty! Updated using Fusion bronze metallic gave them a little touch of glam and tied them into the project design. They go perfectly with the resin pour sideboard.
