Decoupage & Transfer Gel is very easy to use, non-toxic, and highly durable. This two-in-one product allows you to both transfer images as well as decoupage images!
How To Use Decoupage & Transfer Gel
Image Transfer: transfer images onto fabric, wood, clay pots, and other surfaces using napkins, decoupage paper, or wallpaper.
- Print your image of choice backward using a laser printer (ink jet will not work)
- Use a small amount of gel to the surface of your piece
- Place the image face down onto your piece
- Apply pressure with a putty knife or credit card to ensure contact and remove any bubbles
- Wait 24 hours
- After 24hrs wet the back of the printed image and rub away the paper pulp to reveal the image.
- Add a second layer of the product as a topcoat or wax to protect your new piece!
Decoupage: apply images, napkins, decoupage paper, or paintable wallpaper onto any paintable surface.
- To start, apply a small amount of product to the surface of the piece as well as the outer edges and back of your printed image
- Place the image face-up onto your piece and use cling wrap to smooth out wrinkles or bubbles
- Apply another small amount of gel to the front of the image
- Wait 24 hours
- Add a second layer of gel or wax to protect your new piece!
DECOUPAGE & TRANSFER GEL
- You can use it to seal your project, too
- Use it on glass, metal, fabric, and wooden or painted surfaces
- Approx 35 sq ft of coverage
- Dries in 1 hour, cures in 21 days
- Apply as a protective topcoat over your craft projects
Top Tips
Fusions Decoupage and Transfer gel is white in the jar, but dries to a clear matte film. All Fusions water-based products it can be layered! Try adding a glaze or a shimmer top coat! For transferring images – wait for a minimum of 12-24 hours between wetting the paper to reveal the design.
