Mary explained, “The Barbie house is all finished for my Granddaughter. The house was built by my husband in 1993 for my daughter. I decided to update it with Carriage house, champlain, cobblestone and victorian lace, and new carpet and flooring.” See the full Facebook post here.
Nicole says, “I wanted to share my 20-year-old doll house and some of the furniture pieces I have upcycled and made using FMP. The exterior of the house was refreshed with peony and casement. The kitchen table and chairs was a flat pack that I built and painted with casement and coal black. The wall cabinet was built and painted with casement, as was the mirrored cabinet in the living area. The dining table and chairs were mahogany. I repainted the set in casement. The bedroom set was built by me and painted in lamp white. I painted with Mustard and Raw Silk and used Champness to add some “sky” ‘ colour to the drawer to bring everything together. Chalk and Willow created “A beautiful children’s roll top desk, painted in Fusions Laurentian and Coral. Subtle on the outside, then a hit of colour on the inside and drawers. The colours are tied together with a lovely travel-themed lining paper inside the drawers. Clear glass knobs finish the drawers off.”
